JOB PURPOSE
The Director of the Planning and Follow-up Department is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of the Planning and Follow-up Department in internal audit to ensure the implementation of approved plans, raise compliance efficiency, and enhance the quality of performance by following up on comments, measuring performance indicators, and preparing periodic reports to achieve the Department’s objectives in accordance with the best professional practices.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the development of Internal Audit Planning & Follow up business plan ensuring alignment with ZATCA strategy
- Develop the operational plan for planning and follow-up and align it with the Internal Audit Excellence Action Plan and the Internal Audit Strategic Plan.
- Implement plans and provide the necessary inputs to be able to achieve planning and follow-up objectives that support the ZATCA’s overall strategic objectives.

- Lead the process of preparing and following up on the implementation of the Annual Internal Audit Plan in coordination with the concerned departments, and ensure that it is aligned with the strategic objectives.
- Monitor progress in the implementation of scheduled tasks within the plan, analyse deviations between actual and planned, and make recommendations to address challenges.
- Supervise the process of following up on the implementation of the recommendations and observations issued by the internal audit reports, and ensure that they are documented and closed in accordance with the approved policies and procedures.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure compliance and response quality, and analyse data to detect potential risks.
- Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent
- Guide, mentor and support direct reports in order to execute duties according to set policies and processes
- Develop individual performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate/appraise team and provide regular feedback on performance

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 8 years of optimal experience in the field (required), preferably 3 years of close experience in a managerial role.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the field. (Required)
- A bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent is required.
- A Master of Business Administration or equivalent is preferred
