Purpose of Job

Jobholders are responsible for overseeing the implementation of operational plans and making significant improvements to predefined policies, procedures, standards and reports.

Their main operational functions include supporting auditors in analysis, following  up on subsequent audits, handling complex cases and analyzing relevant financial information to suggest relevant customs amounts within approved policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.

Job Resposiblites

  • Develop and update valuation templates and audit tools in accordance with operational procedures and policies to facilitate the examination of relevant systems and business procedures for traders , financial and non-financial records, physical inventories and other assets
  • Follow the latest developments, news, and updates by industry and sector type (business, insurance, telecommunications, consumer goods, etc.) to ensure awareness of new customs practices  adopted by companies and include them in assessments and audit reviews
  • Maintain and update SME post-audit manuals, declarations, eligibility criteria, legal requirements, and supporting documents by merchant type, and integrate them into computer-aided audit tools  to facilitate audit evaluation.

Job Details

  • Unify, categorize and prioritize  SME post-audit schedules, sort them by industry type and ensure that they are sent to the relevant audit teams for evaluation and audit
  • Conducting subsequent audits  within the Kingdom, and checking the validity  of legal documents submitted by SMEs (Import Invoices, Import Declarations, Billing Lists, etc.)...), verifying the declarations and records submitted and ensuring that  the required documentation is complete before assessing the liability
  • Gather the necessary declarations to perform the office audit activities, liaise with relevant stakeholders (account managers, banks, audit office, government bodies, etc.) to obtain the necessary information and clarifications and liaise with  the legal affairs of the contractual structures to ensure the legitimacy of the applicants
  • Research general news, articles, declaration rules, common channels, etc. to investigate and understand the business activity  of SMEs including structure, size, jurisdictions, etc...
  • Examine taxpayer returns, identify high-risk cases, detect non-compliant cases and communicate with internal stakeholders to avoid potential risks including tax evasion
  •  Monitor SME objections and appeals, ensure coordination with Legal Affairs or  the AMANA Secretariat to resolve disputes, and provide support in key certifications by providing clarifications on the final results of the audit
  • Prepare reports  on high-risk cases based on audit results and communicate with relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare reports and statistics on SMEs (types, segments, size, etc.) to detect patterns and trends and facilitate decision-making in revenue assessment and forecasting

Communication and Contacs

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent is required

Master’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent is preferred

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
