Purpose of Job

Jobholders at this level are responsible for leading work activities and working autonomously with minor direction towards predetermined long-term objectives. Jobholders oversee the implementation of operational plans and the provision of significant improvements to set policies, procedures, standards and reports. Their main operational role includes proper implementation of Financial Execution activities including handling the implementation of relevant court orders, and Procedural Execution activities that mainly include the proper enablement and implementation of policies and processes.

Job Responsibilities

Financial Execution  

•    Collect settlements court hearing records and classify and categorize them in accordance with their implementation urgency and relevance
•    Arrange meetings with key tax and customs stakeholders as per their request to provide clearance for the execution of court orders
•    Monitor the execution/implementation of court orders and, when necessary, flag any arising discrepancies
•    Draft reports highlighting implementation progress as well as issues to be addressed and resolved

Procedural Execution  

•    Monitor the execution/implementation of legal policies and processes, when necessary, flag any arising discrepancies
•    Draft reports highlighting policy/process implementation progress as well as issues to be addressed and resolved
•    Schedule meetings with Human Resources to explore tactics for teaching key personnel in the event that policies and procedures are poorly executed

Organization and Operations  

•    Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
•    Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
•    Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
•    Perform other duties as requested

People Management  

•    Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable
•    Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates/ junior staff
•    Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or equivalent is required

A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
