Integration Management Lead Expert

Jobholders at this level may be regarded as a source of expertise and are responsible for developing frameworks, policies and operational plans. They also analyze complex issues, understand business needs, bring together multiple concepts and translate them into tangible actions and support to enhance performance of the function.


Key Activities

  • Follow the latest integration standards and best practices, deploy various integration processes, facilitate various integration activities, and administer all programming components
  • Provide needed inputs related to integration activities, coordinate with relevant teams and participate in the development of the integration plan, and accordingly implement the integration plan and the various integration projects / activities of software applications for information systems
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders during the integration testing phase, handle integration issues, and provide support when needed
  • Remain abreast with the latest programming language updates and technology trends and present ideas to continually improve solutions and applications, accordingly optimize scalability, and proactively adapt to users’ explicit and implicit needs
  • Keep knowledge of SOA Design patterns for building middleware systems ground up using message routing, content enrichment, message filtering, message transformation, guaranteed delivery, message sequencing, batch message processing, error handling and reconciliation mechanisms
  • Review change requests related to solutions and applications in order to implement the approved changes along with a rollback plan
  • Receive requests / incidents across multiple applications, analyze and classify requests / incidents based on their complexity and criticality level, identify issues to resolve or escalate to appropriate team as per support process and service level agreements, and provide expert support in handling incidents and solving problems related to solutions / applications to maximize availability and reliability
  • Verify API requirements, allocate resource requirements, consolidate horizontal process challenges (e.g. API onboarding) faced across multiple application verticals, and accordingly deliver on the API roadmap and strategy
  • Review and document applications maintenance agreements and service contracts for optimal results, update user manuals and training manuals and ensure up-to-date documentation after application changes
  • Prepare and review support logs and performance, prepare application support reports, and recommend improvement actions to be taken
  • Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
  • Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
  • Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
  • Perform other duties as requested
  • Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable
  • Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates/ junior staff
  • Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes


Knowledge and Experience:

A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience


Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent is required

Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent is preferred
