Purpose of Job

able to do the work through the use of general and key guidance, as they are primarily concerned with finding solutions to challenges that require some analysis in order to understand, solve and address problems that have been escalated from less experienced levels.

The complex operational activities they carry out include researching and examining the industries of senior taxpayers to measure revenue, guiding and supporting auditors in research, inspection, office audits, field visits, and conducting full tax audits on senior taxpayers to derive audit conclusions within applicable systems , manuals, policies and procedures, quality standards and a code of professional conduct.

Job Resposiblites

  • Keep abreast of VAT policies, GAAP and GAAP auditing standards, procedures and techniques to stay up-to-date with updates in tax rules, standards and reporting procedures
  • Develop and update assessment templates and audit tools in accordance with operational procedures and policies to facilitate the imposition  of taxes for senior taxpayers and ensure timely  valuation
  • Follow the latest developments, news, and updates by industry type and sector (business, insurance, telecommunications, consumer goods, etc.) to ensure awareness of new tax practices adopted by companies and include them in assessments and audit reviews
  • Maintain and update senior taxpayer manuals, declarations, eligibility criteria, legal requirements, and supporting documents by taxpayer type, and integrate them into computer-aided audit tools  to facilitate audit evaluation and review.

Job Details

  • Coordinating with account managers and ensuring quick communication with senior taxpayers to facilitate auditors' requests, clarifications and required documents
  • Conduct office audit activities, liaise with relevant stakeholders (account managers, taxpayers, banks, audit office, government bodies, etc.) to obtain the necessary information and clarifications and liaise with the Legal Affairs Department of contractual structures to ensure the legitimacy of the applicants
  • Conduct comprehensive data collection activities to understand the taxpayers' field of work  (including practices related to industry, business structure, size, activities, quality of operations and accounting systems), research general news, articles, databases, shared channels, etc., and obtain relevant information information to facilitate VAT assessments
  • Examine and evaluate the financial position, income declarations and revenue streams to compare with similar standards and industries and decide on the valuation approach (actual, estimated, reduced valuations)
  • Examine taxpayer returns, identify high-risk cases, detect non-compliant cases and communicate with internal stakeholders to avoid potential risks including tax evasion
  • Review current audit files and past audit results to validate sales, accounts receivable, import, inventory, and other related accounts
  • Prepare reports  on high-risk cases based on audit results and communicate with relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare reports and statistics on major taxpayers (types, segments, volume, etc.) to identify patterns and trends and facilitate decision-making in revenue assessment and forecasting

  • Coordinating with  the Legal Support Department to comply with the Authority's technical position and the laws, policies and regulations related to taxes

Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent

Experience

At least 4 years of industry experience
