Smart Facility Planning & Design Senior Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:

Jobholders at this level are capable of operating with minimal supervision. They work within guidelines and procedures in order to prepare more complex, specialized or ad-hoc reports in their related field. They contribute to the completion of milestones or operational targets within the assigned functional area.They undertake operational activities including assisting in the development of Smart Facilities strategy, guidelines, initiatives, projects and plans. Assist in the development of Smart Facilities detailed design and track vendors/suppliers work during design execution against set requirements. Develop needed reports highlighting work progress and vendors performance against set of KPIs, SLAs and targets.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct needed research and benchmark on the latest new Smart Facilities trends, identify current issues and challenges, determine Smart Facilities technology requirements, and accordingly develop Smart Facility strategy, initiatives, guidelines, and standards.
• Engage with stakeholders and collect the demands, review and confirm the technical requirement and scope with all stakeholders
•  Perform demand planning and prioritization, develop Smart Facilities roadmap and initiatives / projects plans with related budget
• Coordinate with all Smart Facilities and relevant functions and define KPIs for Smart Facilities and specify targets
• Gather the actual performance of Smart Facilities infrastructure and solutions against set of KPIs and accordingly recommend the needed updates and corrective actions for improvement
• Collect the progress status of Smart Facilities strategic plans and projects execution against set targets and update the plans accordingly in coordination with concerned stakeholders to meet business requirements
• Collect business requirements for the development of Smart Facilities RFPs, develop the RFPs, evaluate the list of vendors based on pre-set criteria, and select the appropriate vendors and the associated SLAs that are most suitable for the Smart Facilities infrastructure and solutions de
• Prepare RFI document and share with Vendors, prepare and conduct POC, and engagement with vendors regarding RFI
• Gather the needed input required for the development of Smart Facilities infrastructure and solutions design
• Monitor Smart Facilities design to meet business objectives and needs, and maintain the design up-to-date
• Conduct periodical vendors performance reviews, ensure alignment with set standards and requirements and communicate reports to all stakeholders

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent is required
