Purpose of Job

The Director of the Strategic Planning Department is responsible for managing the Strategic Planning Department, including analyzing, formulating, sequencing, updating, monitoring, and reporting on strategies; in addition to high-level institutional design to achieve the Authority’s vision and mission, the aspirations of the Board of Directors, and the 2030 Vision and Aspirations.

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of the strategic and project management action plan, ensuring alignment with the Authority's strategy.
• Develop the operational plan for the Strategic Planning Department and align it with the strategic and project management action plan and the strategic plan for strategy and development.

• Managing internal and external assessments to develop a hypothesis regarding strategic priorities.
• Encouraging internal/external stakeholders to be part of the Authority's strategic analysis by incorporating their ideas and opinions into strategy development.

• Identify strategic initiatives, programs, and projects based on approved strategic initiatives and ensure input from key stakeholders is considered.
• Participate in developing the annual budget in coordination with the Financial Planning and Budget Department.
• Manage the development of business planning guidelines, tools, and communication plans to streamline the strategy, strategic initiatives, projects, and related key performance indicators to management levels.

Education

•  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent is required 
•  Master’s degree in Business Administration, or equivalent is preferred
•  PMP Certificate, or equivalent is preferred

Experience

An optimal of 8 years of relevant experience, with a preferred 3 years of experience in managerial level
