Purpose of Job
Jobholders at this level are capable of operating with minimal supervision. They work within guidelines and procedures in order to prepare more complex, specialized or ad-hoc reports in their related field. They contribute to the completion of milestones or operational targets within the assigned functional area.
They undertake operational activities including participating in the development of scenarios, use cases and customer journeys, analyzing business requirements and customer journey feedbacks, market research, industry trends to set benchmarks for UX architecture, user interface design development aiming to deliver more customer centric designs in alignment with stakeholders needs and set standards.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct market research, collect and consolidate business requirements and accordingly develop the UX design in line with new trends
• Gather customer journey and feedbacks, market research, industry trends, site metrics and usability findings to create customer centric designs accordingly
• Design the UX architecture, interaction flow of applications and experiences, develop detailed user-experience specifications to make the user’s interaction as simple and efficient as possible with maximum usability
• Prepare and present draft design work to key stakeholders (business team, developers, etc.), gather their feedback on the draft, and adjust UX accordingly
• Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mock-ups, click-through, and prototypes to illustrate how sites function and look like once implemented
• Measure design impact, and build an evaluation framework incorporating qualitative and quantitative feedback to modify the design accordingly
• Prepare the needed information and practices for testing phase, participate in user acceptance testing and usability testing of all e-services and e-channels before their launch to ensure proper performance of all facets of UX and real-world scenarios
• Gather all testing results, review and verify them, and recommend corrective actions to conduct required adjustments
• Review change requests related to e-services, analyze and verify the impact on UX and make the necessary adjustments to minimize potential risks from changes
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems, find the right fixes, and make the necessary corrections to ensure proper UX operation
• Follow the documentation guidelines and process, organize and maintain all versions of project UX documents to ensure that all documents are completed, up-to-date, stored and archived appropriately
• Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
• Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
• Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
• Perform other duties as requested
• Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable
• Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates/ junior staff
• Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes
